About The Engineer

Carlo had an interest in music beginning at a very early age. From his first accordion as a child to playing guitar at age 15, it wasn't long before he formed his own band and hit the studio. And, it was there that he discovered a new passion for himself,… recording.

Later, having studied computer aided design at a technical college, he began working at the family manufacturing company. This helped fund the building blocks for what would later be his own studio, C&M Sound. By this time the recording industry began quickly evolving as new and more powerful technologies started becoming more readily available. At C&M he recorded a variety of artists and talent from rock to spoken word. His ear for detail mirrored his technical background in manufacturing, where absolute quality was key.

In the years after, he returned to school attending the cdia of Boston University's College of Communication, with a goal of furthering his capabilities to even better serve his clients. Following, he began a full-time freelance career traveling the U.S. representing audio production software companies, specifically with Music Marketing Inc. It was here that he first found Melodyne, (world class digital audio editing software by Celemony) and quickly realized its potential. It was his knack for detail, communication, and problem solving that inspired him to help represent Melodyne here in the U.S. when asked to consider. And, after years of dedication, Carlo was invited to help receive the 2012 GRAMMY Technical Achievement Award for Melodyne.

He is a recording, mixing, and digital audio editing specialist. Outside the studio, he continues to create and produce video tutorials, academic materials, and marketing media for his clients and their users.
